This is a modern, well appointed, welcoming restaurant in the market square in Villefrance de Lonchat. Good view of the ruins of the castle of Carsac and the Lac de Gurson from the dining room. It has a very active bar and is well frequented by locals and tourists.

Lunch menu is 11E complete with wine – changes daily, chef uses fresh local produce to offer a comprehensive guide to what is available each season.

Dinner prices range from 18E – 31E meals and a complete á la carte menu.

Classed as semi-gastronomique they offer cuisine de terroir (local products) which include foie gras, duck (magret & confit) veal, steak and a comprehensive choice of fish and sea food. This chef produces some excellent sauces and vegetable accompaniment to his food, and changes menus every 4/5 months.

Some of his desserts are very interesting! Duo of chocolate with mousse, ile flottante, wondrous ice creams to name but a few.

All wines sold here are local from the Bordeaux and Bergerac region. Alaine is happy to advise on choice.

Unusually they offer a special Vegetarian menu here.

Children are welcome here and there is a special menu available.
