Children
welcome huge restaurant, terrace area and childrens play
area.
A farm, restaurant
and inn, family run, situated about a mile out of St. Méard
on the D32 road to Le Fleix.
All food is produced and cooked by the family. Wine is also home
produced.
Used by locals,
bus tours, commercials and tourists, this eating establishment is
an experience!
Menus range
from 20E 3-course lunch, 25E 4-course and 32E 5-courses. Inclusive
of all drinks.
Aperitifs
of prune or almond kir, copiously dished out before choice of soup,
salade Périgord or pate followed by duck, lamb or braised
ham. Other specialities are coq au vin or stuffed chicken. Digestifs
served with the dessert are normally sufficient to ensure a good
snooze afterwards.
Throughout
the whole meal wine is supplied free, followed by more wine! This
is not a place to go for a sedate meal or high class gastronomic
experience, better to go with a party of people and have a knees
up! Claude the proprietor loves to don a beret and sing, this normally
turns into a dance especially Thursday to Saturday evenings.
The
locals love it and expect you to join in. Youll soon get the
hang of the dances
.. enjoy!
Sunday lunchtime is especially popular with everyone, booking is
essential. Normally expect to be there at least 4 hours!
They
also serve produce such as foie gras, or coq au vin and conserves
in jars makes for an interesting souvenir of your visit.
