Small, cheerful restaurant offering traditional French food, menu changes with seasons. Lunch menu du jour is 13E which includes entre, plat du jour, cheese and dessert. Also included a carafe of wine per person.
Their real speciality here is fish – try sandre a perch/pike fresh water fish with fennel, or vivaneau pané (red snapper). They include rabbit, veal, venison steak etc. as meat selection. Sometimes they serve tete de veau or tripe, not always to English taste, experiment!. Wines are all local and not too expensive. A bottle of Bergerac red is 6.50E. Try a bottle of local Pecharment red – recently discovered by us, and absolutely scrummy! Also offered is a Traiteur service – catering for you at home if you have a special occasion and fancy someone else doing the catering – after all you are on holiday! Tempting? They deliver and serve, leaves you free to drink aperitifs in the sun.
