Fine
wines - with an English twist!
Domaine de
Beauregard is in Villefranche-deLonchat, located near the
famous village of St Emilion in the Bergerac area of South-West
France.
Founded nearly
30 years ago, the vineyard is English owned by Robin and Sasha Ruffler
who recently purchased the Domaine.
The
property boasts 13½ hectares of vines which have been planted
on the lush hillsides of chalky-clay that surrounds the propertys
private winery.
Their stock
currently consists of Bergerac Prestige Red, made from 100% hand-harvested
Merlot grapes.
They also have
2000 and 2001 Cote de Bergerac Red, made from 80% Merlot, 10% Cabernet
Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes.
All
the wine is produced and bottled at the property. "We would
love to see you at the vineyard," says Sasha. "Just give
us a call to arrange a tasting session and a tour of the winery!"
